These Surprisingly Simple Hair Trends Dominated the 2016 VMAs

Sure, Kanye did A Thing. So did Beyoncé. But even with all of that going on, the hair at Sunday night's 2016 MTV Video Music Awards also proved to be plenty memorable — and not because it was over-the-top or involved meat. (We missed you, Lady Gaga.)
Rather than going the experimental, avant-garde route, plenty of stars kept their hair fairly simple. At times, their looks were so laid-back, it appeared there was a slight possibility they'd just stepped out of the shower. Here, a look at the four prevailing hair trends of the evening.
