Get Perfect Summer Makeup in 5 Minutes Flat

One thing that blogger, Instagram star and all-around cool girl Chriselle Lim seems to have on lock is that whole fresh-faced vibe. She claims to have "slightly oily skin," and yet in just about every photo and video, she appears perfectly dewy, natural, and glowy — without ever verging on a caked-on makeup look. So when she posted a video tutorial outlining her daily makeup routine, we were so on board. The best part? The whole process takes only five minutes.

In the video, Lim starts by prepping her skin with Boscia Sake Balm moisturizer, which she favors for its pore-tightening properties. She follows that up by patting on Benefit The Porefessional, a mattifying primer that also reduces the appearance of pores, along her T-zone. (Okay, so Lim seems to be slightly pore-obsessed. Perhaps that's why she never appears to have any of them.)
In lieu of foundation, Lim blends Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint (a sheer, lightweight skin-evening formula) all over her face using a Maybelline makeup sponge, which, it's worth noting, costs less than $6. "It's kind of like a Beautyblender... what I love about it is that it's a stick, so you don't have to get your hands all dirty," says Lim. She follows that up with a few other drugstore picks: Maybelline Face Studio Master Conceal to brighten her under-eyes and L'Oréal Infallible Pro Contour Palette to create shadowy definition beneath her cheekbones, along her hairline and around her chin.
After enhancing her eyebrows with a kit from Clarins, Lim gets to work on a subtle daytime eye look, relying on a combination of shades from the Stila Eyes are the Windows palette. To create a perfect cat-eye flick, Lim grabs Benefit They're Real! Push-Up Liner and draws it along her top lash line. Next, Lim swipes Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara over her bottom lashes only. (She has extensions on her top lashes, FYI.) For a neutral lip effect, Lim dabs on Eve by Eve's Lipstick in Petal Pink, a dusty rose shade. And here comes a savvy time-saving move: She blends the lip color in with her finger, then presses the excess that's left on her fingertip into the apples of her cheeks instead of using blush.
